This year’s Forward Event was so good and I’ll have plenty more takeaways from it in the days and weeks to come. The speakers were next level with great insights and actionable items. But what really makes it worthwhile are the friendships that are made and getting to share this experience with them. These are just a few of the pictures (because I’m not always good at taking pictures) and I wish I had more. But I’m grateful for everyone in these pics and so many more people that aren’t. Do Rates Think About You As Much As You Think About Them? I get it. Interest rate talk is everywhere. Whether it’s about them being too high, or if they’re falling, or they’re projected to fall or increase. You can’t escape it so it becomes a primary area of focus. Hot Take – If you’re a real eatate agent, anyone looking to buy or sell at any time is not your audience. It’s too broad and forgettable and labels you as a generalist. I’d bet that if you look back at your last year you’ll find a number of common traits and characteristics among the clients you served. Maybe it’s a price point, a lifestyle or hobby, a specific area, or some combination thereof. Looking at those commonalities can give you insight to who your client is and who you’re attracting. If that’s a category you’re happy with, then keep targeting them. If not and you want to attract a different segment, target the traits of your new audience. You’re not overlooking anyone by being specific, and it doesn’t mean you’re not willing to help anyone looking to buy or sell.
